Front of Islamic Revolution Stability ( fa, جبههٔ پایداری انقلاب اسلامی, Jebha-ye pāydārī-e enqelāb-e eslāmī, also translated Persevering Front, Endurance Front and Steadfast Front) is an Iranian principlist political group described as " extreme end of the fundamentalist camp" and "Iran’s most right-wing party". It was established as an electoral list for the 2012 legislative election. The Front is partly made up of former ministers of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah-Yazdi is said to be the "spiritual leader" behind the group. In 2013, the Front supported Saeed Jalili for president after Kamran Bagheri Lankarani's withdrawal, and released electoral list for local elections in several cities, with a landslide victory in Mashhad City Council. Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah-Yazdi
Ayatollah Taqi Mesbah ( fa, تقی مصباح; born Taqi Givechi, fa, تقی گیوهچی), commonly known as Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah-Yazdi ( fa, محمدتقی مصباح یزدی, 31 January 1935 – 1 January 2021) was an Iranian Shi'i cleric, philosopher and conservative political theorist who served as the spiritual leader of the Front of Islamic Revolution Stability. Deviant Current
The "deviant current" or "current of deviation" ( fa, جریان انحرافی, Jarīān-e Enherāfī) is a term used by Iranian officials (e.g. high-ranking clerics, Revolutionary Guards commanders) and conservative rivals of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to describe Ahmadinejad's entourage which functions like a faction or party. Ahmadinejad had some tendency toward Iranian nationalism which deviated from the clerics' theocratic rule, hence top clerics labeled the faction associated with him as "deviant current". Mashhad
Mashhad ( fa, مشهد, Mašhad ), also spelled Mashad, is the second-most-populous city in Iran, located in the relatively remote north-east of the country about from Tehran. The Iranian local elections took place on 14 June 2013 to elected members of the fourth council of the City and Village Councils of Iran. This election was held by a general election with the presidential election. Kamran Bagheri Lankarani ( fa, کامران باقری لنکرانی; born 1965) is an Iranian physician and politician who was Minister of Health and Medical Education from 2005 until 2009. Born in 1965, he finished medical school at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, and attained an advanced fellowship degree in Medicine from the same university. He specializes in gastroenterology. Saeed Jalili
Saeed Jalili ( fa, سعید جلیلی; born 1 September 1965) is an Iranian conservative politician and diplomat who was secretary of the Supreme National Security Council from 2007 to 2013. He is currently member of the Expediency Discernment Council. He was also Iran's nuclear negotiator. He was previously deputy foreign minister for European and American Affairs.
