Fiume
Rijeka ( , , ; also known as Fiume hu, Fiume, it, Fiume ; local Chakavian: ''Reka''; german: Sankt Veit am Flaum; sl, Reka) is the principal seaport and the third-largest city in Croatia (after Zagreb and Split). It is located in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County on Kvarner Bay, an inlet of the Adriatic Sea and in 2021 had a population of 108,622 inhabitants. Historically, because of its strategic position and its excellent deep-water port, the city was fiercely contested, especially between the Holy Roman Empire, Italy and Croatia, changing rulers and demographics many times over centuries. The counties of Croatia ( hr, hrvatske županije) are the primary administrative subdivisions of the Republic of Croatia. The Adriatic Sea () is a body of water separating the Italian Peninsula from the Balkan Peninsula. The Alliance of Primorje-Gorski Kotar ( hr, Primorsko-goranski savez or PGS) is a minor Croatian liberal regionalist political party of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. The Istrian Democratic Assembly ( hr, Istarski demokratski sabor, it, Dieta democratica istriana or IDS-DDI) is a centre to centre-left, regionalist, liberal political party in Croatia primarily operating in Istria County. Palace Modello ( hr, Palača Modello; it, Palazzo Modello) was built in 1885 in Rijeka, Croatia, on the place of the destroyed and demolished Adamichev ( hr, Adamićev) theater. Youth Action (Croatia)
Youth Action ( hr, Akcija mladih or AM) is a liberal political party in Croatia founded in 2005 in Lovran. The party endorses progressive values and mostly advocates greater youth rights. Kvarner Bay
The Kvarner Gulf (, or , la, Sinus Flanaticus or ), sometimes also Kvarner Bay, is a bay in the northern Adriatic Sea, located between the Istrian peninsula and the northern Croatian Littoral mainland. The bay is a part of Croatia's internal waters. The largest islands within the Kvarner are Cres, Krk, Pag, Rab and Lošinj. A portion of the Kvarner Bay, located between Cres, Krk, Rab and Pag is also called ''Kvarnerić'' (literally "little Kvarner") or or , and the portion east of Krk and Rab is called Senj Channel.
