Zounds! What Sounds!
''Zounds! What Sounds!'' is an album by Dean Elliott, released as an LP in 1962 (see 1962 in music). The album was credited on the front cover to "Dean Elliott and His Swinging Big, Big Band" and on the LP label to "Dean Elliott and His Orchestra". The album was made with the assistance of Phil Kaye, a sound effects virtuoso who worked with Elliott on the Tom and Jerry cartoon The subtitle that appeared on the front cover of the LP (which also featured three young women striking arguably sultry poses with saxophones and congas atop a cement truck) captured the basic goals, sound, and feel of the album quite well: A Sonic Spectacular Presenting MUSIC! MUSIC! MUSIC! With these special Percussion Effects! Cement Mixer, Air Compressor, Punching Bag, Hand Saw, Thunderstorm, Raindrops, Celery Stalks (the crunchiest), 1001 Clocks, Bowling Pins and Many Many More!! Duck Dodgers And The Return Of The 24½th Century
''Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24½th Century'' is a 1980 animated short film starring Daffy Duck, Porky Pig and Marvin the Martian. It is the sequel to the 1953 cartoon ''Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century''. It was the first Daffy and Porky cartoon since 1965. This cartoon first premiered on November 20, 1980, as part of an animated CBS television special called ''Daffy Duck's Thanks-for-Giving Special'', with scenes that would later be cut when this cartoon was reformatted as a short. A majority of Maltese's storyboards weren't used in the final product, including a duel with Marvin and Daffy and the majority of the boards had K-9, but the character was later deleted from the short entirely. The only parts written that Maltese that remained in the final product is the problem of the lack of the element that produces yo-yo polish (called flexonite in the boards) and Gossamer being shaven (albeit with Porky using hair clippers instead of Daffy singing The Song of the Marines t ...

The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie
''The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie'' is a 1979 American animated comedy package film directed by Chuck Jones, consisting of a compilation of classic '' Looney Tunes/ Merrie Melodies'' shorts and newly animated bridging sequences hosted by Bugs Bunny. The bridging sequences, which had been produced in 1978, show Bugs at his home, which is cantilevered over a carrot-juice waterfall (modeled on Frank Lloyd Wright's " Fallingwater" house in Bear Run, Pennsylvania). The film was released to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bugs Bunny. Early on, Bugs discusses the wild villains he had co-starred with in his cartoons, which is followed by a tongue-in-cheek sequence depicting the history of comedy and a scene in which Bugs discusses his "several fathers". The latter scene was written by Chuck Jones as a way to debunk fellow animation director Bob Clampett's claims throughout the 1970s that he alone created Bugs, and Clampett's name is notably missing from Bugs' list, as a result of t ...

Fantastic Four (1978 TV Series)
''The New Fantastic Four'' (on-screen title: ''The Fantastic Four'') is an animated series produced by DePatie–Freleng Enterprises and Marvel Comics Animation in 1978. It is the second animated series based on Marvel's comic book series ''Fantastic Four'', following a 1967 series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions. The 1978 series replaced the character of the Human Torch with a robot named H.E.R.B.I.E. (Humanoid Experimental Robot, B-type, Integrated Electronics) because the 1978 television rights to use that character were tied up by a proposed television pilot movie in development by Universal Studios that ended up never being produced. Ownership of the series passed to Disney in 2001 when Disney acquired Fox Kids Worldwide, which also includes Marvel Productions. The series is not available on Disney+. Plot After getting exposed to cosmic radiation, Reed Richards, Susan Storm, and Ben Grimm, alongside their robot H.E.R.B.I.E., fight crime as the Fantastic Four. Epis ...

Return To The Planet Of The Apes
''Return to the Planet of the Apes'' is a 1975 Saturday morning animation, animated series, by DePatie–Freleng Enterprises in association with 20th Century Fox Television, based on the 1963 novel ''Planet of the Apes (novel), Planet of the Apes'' by Pierre Boulle. Boulle's novel had previously inspired Planet of the Apes, five films and a TV series, beginning with the 1968 film Planet of the Apes (1968 film), ''Planet of the Apes'' starring Charlton Heston. Unlike the film, its sequels, and the 1974 Planet of the Apes (TV series), live action TV series, which involved a primitive ape civilization, ''Return to the Planet of the Apes'' depicted a technologically advanced society, complete with automobiles, film, and television; as such it more closely resembled both Boulle's original novel and early concepts for the first ''Apes'' movie which were changed due to budgetary limitations in the late 1960s. Produced following the last of the big-screen features and short-lived live-acti ...
