Dazhi Station
The Taipei Metro Dazhi station is located in the Zhongshan District in Taipei, Taiwan. It is a station of Brown Line. Station overview This two-level, underground station features an island platform, three exits, and a platform elevator located on the south side of the concourse level. This station, along with station, are the only two underground stations on the Wenhu line. They are also the first underground stations in the system to have platform doors. Zhongshan District (Chinese: 中山區) is an administrative district of Taipei City, named after Sun Yat-sen, better known in Chinese as "Sun Zhongshan". Taipei Zoo Station
The Taipei Metro Taipei Zoo Station is a terminus on Wenhu line, Maokong Gondola Line, and the planned Circular Line of the Taipei Metro. It is located in the Wenshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. Station overview This three-level, elevated station features two side platforms and two exits. It is located on Xinguang Rd., Sec. 2. In order to deal with patronage to the zoo, an underground parking lot was constructed. It connects to the Maokong Gondola and Taipei Zoo. It will be a transfer station and terminus with Circular Line in 2029, which is expected to bring a lot of convenience to districts in outer Taipei and New Taipei by saving a lot of commuting time. Currently, a trip from Taipei Zoo to Dapinglin requires 40 minutes and two transfers, while a trip from Taipei Zoo to Jingan requires 36 minutes and also two transfers. Yingfeng Riverside Park
The Yingfeng Riverside Park () is a park along the Keelung River in Zhongshan District and Songshan District of Taipei, Taiwan. History The park was completed in 2002. Geography The park covers an area of 60 hectares. Facilities The park features facilities for skating, softball, football, baseball, wood ball and miniature golf. The park also features Taiwan's first leash-free sports park for dogs, which measures approximately 1 hectare in area and contains two parts, one for big canines and the other for smaller ones. National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine
The National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine () is a shrine in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan, dedicated to the war dead of the Republic of China. Built on Chingshan Mountain and overseeing the Keelung River in Taipei's Zhongshan District in 1969, the Martyrs' Shrine recalls the architecture of the Hall of Supreme Harmony in Beijing's Forbidden City. The structure houses the spirit tablets of about 390,000 persons killed, among other engagements, during the Xinhai Revolution, Northern Expedition, Second Sino-Japanese War, Chinese Civil War, and the First and Second Taiwan Strait Crises. Dajia Riverside Park
The Dajia Riverside Park () is a park located in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. Located between Zhongshan Bridge and Dazhi Bridge in Zhongshan District, Dajia Riverside Park is a metropolis-type greening park developed and constructed by the government. With a large area, it is a large expanse of vast grassland that enters the park. People can also look out at the Miramar Ferris wheel. There is a large fountain with a diameter of 125 meters and central water column as high as 75 meters, and 80 sets of colorful underwater lights. It uses the visual changes of the water level to show its rhythmic characteristics. The fountain sprays water for half an hour at the hour. The Taipei Metro Songshan Airport station is located in Songshan, Taipei, Taiwan. It is a station on Wenhu line and serves as a transportation gateway to Taipei Songshan Airport. Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks. An alternative arrangement is to position side platforms on either side of the tracks. The historical use of island platforms depends greatly upon the location.
