David Russell (racing Driver)
David Russell (born 4 January 1982) is an Australian racing driver. Russell has competed in the Repco Supercars Championship intermittently since 2003 and is now an endurance co-driver in the Pirtek Enduro Cup with Erebus Motorsport in a Holden Commodore (ZB), alongside Brodie Kostecki. Racing career Russell started his circuit racing career in Production Car racing, driving a Suzuki Swift in the 2000 Australian GT Production Car Championship. In 2001 he transitioned to a Proton Satria in the same entry level class of the same series. He finished runner-up in class behind the Holden Astra of Luke Youlden. Russell stayed racing Protons through to the 2004 season when he finished third in the 2004 Australian Production Car Championship. Erebus Motorsport, (formerly known as Erebus Racing,) is an Australian motor racing team. The team competes in the Supercars Championship with two Holden ZB Commodores. The team's current drivers are Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki. The team is owned by Betty Klimenko and is based in Melbourne. The team launched as a GT racing team in 2011 with the team joining Supercars in 2013 following the purchase of Stone Brothers Racing. The 2001 Australian GT Production Car Championship was a CAMS sanctioned motor racing title open to production cars. It was the sixth Australian GT Production Car Championship to be awarded. The Australian championship was won by Queensland driver Brett Peters, driving a Subaru Impreza WRX ran by the Rod Dawson led Peters Motorsport team. The Suzuki Cultus is a supermini car produced by the Japanese manufacturer Suzuki from 1983 to 2016. Jack 'Perko' Perkins (born 22 August 1986) is an Australian motor racing driver who competes in the Pirtek Enduro Cup. He currently co-drives with Will Brown in the No. 9 Holden ZB Commodore for Erebus Motorsport. He is the son of retired Australian race driver and former team owner Larry Perkins, in whose team Perkins Engineering, he drove between 2006 and 2008. MW Motorsport (formerly known as Matthew White Racing) is a motor-racing team that is competing in the Dunlop Super2 Series.
