H! Vltg3
"Points of Authority" is a song by American rock band Linkin Park. It is the fourth track on their first studio album, ''Hybrid Theory''. Mike Shinoda's verses originally had different lyrics, and Chester Bennington's parts became no different from the ''Hybrid Theory'' version. The song was released in 2001 as a promo release. A CD single for the song was set to be released in the UK in September 2001, but instead, " Papercut" was released as the third single from the album. It was later planned as the fifth official single from the album, planned for a January 2002 release but was cancelled for unknown reasons. In its place, the song's remix version was released. The song's remix "Pts.OF.Athrty" was released as the only single taken from remix album '' Reanimation'' (2002) while another remix, by The Crystal Method, was released on ''LP Underground 2.0''. The song is one from the seven Linkin Park's songs that appeared in the mash-up EP ''Collision Course'' with American rapper ...

Battle Record
A battle record, also often called a battle tool or battle breaks, is a vinyl record made up of brief samples from songs, film dialogue, sound effects, and drum loops for use by a DJ. The samples and drum loops are used for scratching and performances by turntablists. The most famous example of this format is ''Super Duck Breaks'', a 1996 release by "The Turntablist," a pseudonym of DJ Babu. Battle records that get released to the general public are often made by DJs banking on their celebrity or looking to capitalize on rare items in their collections. Creative, novel, or bizarre inclusions are especially prized. Often, the samples featured on these records do not have the blessing of the original copyright holders. Because of this, the use of pseudonyms and anonymous releases are common. Often, even the original sources of the samples are renamed or obscured, leading to some newcomers becoming disconnected from the history of the work. See also * Electronic Battle Weapon * ...

Beat Juggling
Beat juggling is a deejaying and turntablism technique in which two records are used to prolong an existing beat, or to create a new one. It is associated with the context of hip hop, but not necessarily limited to this genre. Definition Beat juggling can be defined as the art of manipulating two or more samples (e.g. drum beats, or vocal phrases), in order to create a unique composition, using multiple turntables and one or more mixers. This can involve pauses, scratching, backspins and delays. It could be seen as fingertip sampling, and the turntable and mixer combination could be seen as an instrument from which sounds are made, from the sounds of other instruments (samples). Despite being a classical technique in deejaying and turntablism, beat juggling isn't limited to analogue mixing with vinyl records. It can also be achieved by digital means using Compact Disc DJ players or DJ controllers. History Beat juggling has its roots in cutting, in which a small section ...

International Turntablist Federation
The International Turntablist Federation (ITF) was an organization which held a series of DJ battles during the rise of turntablism in the late 90s and early 2000s. The ITF is notable for introducing the concept of category competitions. The categories included advancement, scratching, beat juggling, and team. The ITF eventually evolved into the IDA, but during its height in the early 2000s, the ITF was considered a close second to the DMC in the world of international DJ battles. Many of the winners (e.g., A-Trak, Craze, i.e. Merge, Rafik, and C2C) were prominent members of the turntablist community and were champions in other competitions.
