CJDL-FM (107.3 FM, ''Country 107.3'') is a radio station licensed to Tillsonburg, Ontario. Owned by Rogers Sports & Media, it broadcasts a country format. The station was established in 1955 as the AM station CKOT, before migrating to FM in 2007. It had been operated by the locally-owned Tillsonburg Broadcasting Company until 2017, when it was sold to Rogers Media. History The station was originally licensed on April 26, 1955, and began broadcasts four days later at 1510 AM. The station was owned by John B. Lamers Sr., Ken Orton, and four other shareholders under the name of Tillsonburg Broadcasting Company, Limited. Glen Meyer, Ontario
Glen Meyer is an unincorporated community in Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada, southeast of Tillsonburg. Summary George Edward Meyer settled here in 1854. When he became postmaster in 1865, he named the community after himself. During World War II, a labour camp was approved for Glen Meyer, to house enemy merchant seamen held as prisoners of war who would work under guard at local farms. In 1974, radio station CKOT (now CJDL-FM) received permission to move its transmitter to Glen Meyer. In 2001, Haldimand-Norfolk was dissolved into two separate single-tier counties. Glen Meyer became part of the newly formed County of Norfolk. The term "Glen Meyer" refers to an Iroquoian aboriginal culture related to the Neutral Nation people. CKOT-FM is a Canadian radio station licensed to Tillsonburg, Ontario, broadcasting at 101.3 FM and serving the London area. Owned by Rogers Sports & Media, the station broadcasts an adult contemporary format. Its transmitter is located near the interchange of Highway 19 and Highway 401 (Exit 218), close to Ingersoll. History CKOT-FM is the second radio station to serve Tillsonburg, Ontario, and is the sister station to the now defunct CKOT and the current operating CJDL-FM. Tillsonburg is a town in Oxford County, Ontario, Canada with a population of 18,615 located about 50 kilometres southeast of London, on Highway 3 at the junction of Highway 19. History Prior to European settlement, the present site of Tillsonburg was home to Indigenous tribes. The Tillsonburg Village Site, a 14th century Iroquoian village, was excavated in 2001 and 2008, in the northwest corner of the town, and contained 15 longhouses. The area was settled in 1825 by George Tillson and other immigrants from Enfield, Massachusetts.
