Bryant Bulldogs Football
The Bryant Bulldogs football program represents Bryant University in college football. As of the upcoming 2022 season, the Bulldogs are football-only members of the Big South Conference and compete at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level. The team has played its home games at Bulldog Stadium in Smithfield, Rhode Island from 1999 to 2016, after which it was renamed Beirne Stadium. History Bryant University football was created in 1999 joining the Division II Northeast-10 Conference which they had been charter members of since the conference's inception. Bryant has only had 4 coaches since its inception. The first Bulldog coach was Jim Miceli who coached the team from 1999 until 2003 followed by the second Bulldog coach Marty Fine, who coached the team from 2004- 2016. Chris Merritt (American Football)
Chris Merritt (born December 7, 1969) is an American football coach and former player. He was named to the position as the head football coach at Bryant University in December 2018. He came to Bryant after serving 18 years as head coach at Christopher Columbus High School (Miami-Dade County), Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Miami, Florida, posting a record of 172–45 in 18 season there. He also served five years at Thiel College as the defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator and two years at Eastern Illinois University as an assistant coach. Merritt played college football at Indiana University Bloomington and professionally in Sweden Superserienin 1994 and 1995 seasons. He then played and was a coach in the German Football League with the Hamburg Blue Devils. The Patriot League is a collegiate athletic conference comprising private institutions of higher education and two United States service academies based in the Northeastern United States. The Southern Connecticut Owls (also Southern Connecticut State Owls and SCSU Owls) are the athletic teams that represent Southern Connecticut State University, located in New Haven, Connecticut, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. West Chester Golden Rams Football
The West Chester Golden Rams represent West Chester University of Pennsylvania, which is located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, in intercollegiate sports. They compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in NCAA Division II. The university currently fields 23 varsity Division II men's and women's teams. The America East Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I founded in 1979, whose members are located in the Northeastern United States.
