Koninklijke Beringen Football Club was a Belgian football club from the municipality of Beringen, Limburg (Belgium). It existed between 1924 and 2002. History The club was founded in 1924 as Cercle Sportif Kleine Heide and it became a member of the Belgian Football Association in 1925 as Beeringen Football Club, matricule n°522. In 1937 it changed to Beringen F.C. and three years later the club accessed to the first division to play only one season. After that season, the name changed to K. Beringen F.C. and then to K. Beeringen F.C. one year later. In 1955 it was back at the top level for two seasons this time. The other spells of the club in the first division were 1958–1960, 1962–70 (with a 2nd place in 1964), 1972–82 and 1983–84. In 1972 the club had its last name change from K. Beeringen F.C. to K. The Belgian Pro League,(officially the Jupiler Pro League due to sponsorship reasons with Jupiler), is the top league competition for association football clubs in Belgium. The Belgian Second Division (known as the Proximus League for sponsorship reasons) was the second-highest division in the Belgian football league system, one level below the Belgian Pro League. It was founded by the Royal Belgian Football Association in 1909 and folded in 2016, when it was replaced by the Belgian First Division B. Nick Deacy (born 19 July 1953) is a Welsh former footballer who played as a striker. He used to play for PSV Eindhoven, and won the UEFA Cup with them in 1978, coming on as a substitute in the second leg of the final. Belgian Second Division Final Round
The Belgian Second Division play-offs were a series of playoff matches to decide promotion to the Belgian Pro League, organised between 1974 and 2015. Following a large reform of the Belgian football league system at the end of the 2015–16 season, the play-offs were no longer held. In the earlier years these play-offs were contested by teams of the Belgian Second Division but since 2009 also a team from the Belgian Pro League took part.
