Bawshar
Bawshar ( ar, بوشر ''Bawšar'') is one of the wilayats of Muscat, in northeastern Oman. The province borders wilayat Muttrah in the east and Muscat International Airport in the west, it overlooks the Sea of Oman from the north. It contains several archaeological sites and the Qurm Nature Reserve Ramsar site. According to the 2010 National Census, the population of wilayat Bawshar was 192,235 spread over its 43 villages and towns. The most noteworthy of these are Al Khuwair, Sultan Qaboos City, Al Ghubra, Al Adheeba, Ghala, Al Sarooj, Bowsher Al Qadima, Al Ansab Sanab, Al Hamam, Al Awabi, and Al Misfah. Qurm Nature Reserve
Qurm Nature Reserve is a national nature reserve in Muscat Governorate, Oman. Located on the Gulf of Oman coast, the reserve protects a mangrove forest and the surrounding wetland in a small estuary within the urban area of Qurm. Established in 1975, the reserve has been designated as an Important Bird Area since 1994, and as a protected Ramsar site since 2013. Features Qurm Nature Reserve is a coastal wetland nature reserve in the urban area of Qurm, in Bawshar Province, Muscat Governorate, in northeastern Oman. Paul Alan Yule
Paul Alan Yule is a German archaeologist at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg (habilitation). His main work targets the archaeology of Oman, Yemen, previously India. Education and career Yule studied at the University of Minnesota (BA), New York University (MA and PhD) and Marburg University. His dissertation, ''Early Cretan Seals'', classified and dated the seals from the Early and Middle Bronze Ages of Minoan Crete. Al Awabi
Al Awabi is one of the 62 provinces ( wilayat) of Oman. It is located in Al Batinah Region, north of Oman. Based on the figures of the 2020 census, Al Awabi is home for 18,833 people, compared to 10,469 in 2003. It has 32 villages.
