Aniyathipraavu
''Aniyathipraavu'' () is a 1997 Indian Malayalam-language romance film directed by Fazil and produced by Swargachitra Appachan. It stars debutant Kunchacko Boban and Shalini (thereby, making their cinematic debut in leading roles). The film tells the story of Sudhish Kumar (Kunchacko Boban) and Mini (Shalini) who fall in love despite being from two different religious communities. The film explores love, relationships and the various aspects to them. The music was composed by Ouseppachan with the lyrics by S. Ramesan Nair. Fazil remade it into the Tamil film ''Kadhalukku Mariyadhai'' (1997) with Shalini reprising her role. It was remade in Telugu as ''Nenu Premisthunnanu'' (1998). Anandakuttan
Anandakuttan (1954 – 2016) was an Indian cinematographer who worked predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He worked on over 150 films including ''His Highness Abdullah'', '' Bharatham'', '' Kamaladalam'', ''Sadayam'', ''Chronic Bachelor'', ''Akashadoothu'', '' Harikrishnans'', '' Punjabi House'' and ''Aniyathipraavu''. He died in 2016, at the age of 61. ''Kadhalukku Mariyadhai'' () is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language musical romantic drama film directed by Fazil. It is the Tamil remake of Fazil's own Malayalam film ''Aniyathipraavu'' (1997). The film stars Vijay and Shalini (reprising her role from the original) while Sivakumar, Srividya, Manivannan, Dhamu, Charle, Thalaivasal Vijay and Radha Ravi play supporting roles. The film tells the story of a couple of differing backgrounds and beliefs and how they unite amidst the opposition of their families. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja with cinematography by Anandakuttan. The film was released on 19 December 1997. It received positive reviews and became a box-office blockbuster. Kunchacko Boban
Kunchacko Boban (born 2 November 1976) is an Indian actor and film producer. Sometimes referred to as Chackochan, he works in the Malayalam film industry and has acted in more than 90 films in more than two decades. He is a member of the Kunchacko family. Kunchacko's debut was as a child in the film '' Dhanya'' (1981) produced by his father Boban Kunchacko. Palappurathu Kesavan Surendranatha Thilakan (15 July 1935 – 24 September 2012) was an Indian film and stage actor who appeared in over 200 Malayalam films. Thilakan was known for his elaborate method acting, realistic and spontaneous appearances. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest Indian actors of all time. Habeeb Muhammed (28 February 1965 – 30 November 2017), better known by his stage name Kalabhavan Abi, was an Indian impressionist, comedian, actor, and dubbing artist. Sankaradi
Chandrashekaran Menon, better known by his screen name Sankaradi (14 July 1924 – 8 October 2001), was an Indian actor. He was a veteran Malayalam comedian and character artist, who had over 700 Malayalam films to his credit. He dominated the Malayalam film scene in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s as a comedian along with Adoor Bhasi and Bahadoor. Later, he switched to character roles.
