András Gerevich
András Gerevich is a Hungarian poet, screenwriter, literary translator and Professor of Screenwriting at Budapest Metropolitan University. Life and career Andras Gerevich was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1976. He grew up in Budapest, Dublin and Vienna. He graduated with a major in English Language and Literature and a minor in Aesthetics from ELTE School of English and American Studies. Later he was a Fulbright student at Dartmouth College in the United States, and received his third degree in screenwriting from the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in the UK. He is openly gay. He was the president of József Attila Kör (JAK), the Hungarian Young Writers Association from 2006 to 2009. András Adorján
András Adorján (born András Jocha; 31 March 1950) is a Hungarian chess Grandmaster (1973) and author. He adopted his mother's maiden name, Adorján, in 1968. Chess career In 1969–70, Adorján secured the title of European Junior Champion at the 'Niemeyer Tournament' in Groningen, and in 1969 at Stockholm, he finished runner-up in the World Junior Chess Championship to Anatoly Karpov. Qualification as an International Master came in 1970 and as a Grandmaster in 1973. The latter was also the year that he won (jointly) his first Hungarian Championship, going on to a further (this time outright) victory in 1984. Other tournament successes (finishing either first or joint first) included Varna 1972, Osijek 1978, Budapest 1982, Gjovik 1983, Esbjerg 1985 and New York Open 1987. András István Arató (born 11 July 1945) is a retired Hungarian electrical engineer and model. In 2011, he became the subject of the Internet meme Hide the Pain Harold due to his overall facial expression and seemingly fake smile. Arató has been in and out of the stock photo and advertisement industry as a model since disclosing his identity. He took up travelling to foreign countries such as Turkey and Russia for recreational purposes and kept a blog about his life and travels. The photos associated with such travels are said to be the cause of Arató's fame. While vacationing in Turkey, Arató decided to upload personal vacation photos onto social media site iWiW, which were noticed by a photographer. Andrew Báthory
Andrew Báthory ( hu, Báthory András; pl, Andrzej Batory; 1562 or 1563 – 3 November 1599) was the Cardinal-deacon of Sant'Adriano al Foro from 1584 to 1599, Prince-Bishop of Warmia from 1589 to 1599, and Prince of Transylvania in 1599. His father was a brother of Stephen Báthory, who ruled the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth from 1575. He was the childless Stephen Báthory's favorite nephew. He went to Poland at his uncle's invitation in 1578 and studied at the Jesuit college in Pułtusk. He became canon in the Chapter of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Warmia in 1581, and provost of the Monastery of Miechów in 1583. András Balczó (born 16 August 1938) is a retired Hungarian modern pentathlete The modern pentathlon is an Olympic sport consisting of fencing (one-touch épée), freestyle swimming, equestrian show jumping, pistol shooting, and cross country running. Count András Bethlen de Bethlen (26 July 1847 – 25 August 1898) was a Hungarian politician, who served as Minister of Agriculture between 1890 and 1894. He studied law in Budapest and national economy studies in Brussels and Leipzig. András Gosztonyi (born 7 November 1990 in Kaposvár) is a Hungarian football player who plays for Kisvárda in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. Career He spent a week at Newcastle United F.C. on trial. András Fáy ( sk, Andrej Fáy; 30 May 178626 July 1864) was a Hungarian author, lawyer, politician and businessman. Life He was born at Kohány (today Kochanovce, suburb of Sečovce) in the county of Zemplén, and was educated for the law at the Protestant college of Sárospatak.
