Mary Vail Andress (March 27, 1883 – May 15, 1964) was an American banker. She was "the first woman to become an officer of a major New York bank". She also did relief work during both World War I and World War II, and was "the first woman war worker to receive the Distinguished Service Medal". John Andress
John Andress (born 20 January 1984) is an Irish former rugby union player. He played as a prop. During his career, Andress played for English sides Exeter Chiefs, Harlequins and Worcester Warriors and Scottish side Edinburgh. He returned to Ireland in 2016 to play for Munster, retiring due to a lack of game time in December of that year, but shortly after he came out of retirement to play for an injury-stricken Connacht. Brenda Andress was the first Commissioner for the Canadian Women's Hockey League, serving in the position from 2008–09 to 2017–18. Professional career Andress was a former director of recreation for the Town of Newmarket, Ontario. She was also a former Level 6 certified referee. She served as a referee and linesman in the National Women's Hockey League and Canadian Women's Hockey League. Stanford E. "Andy" Andress is a Colorado author and political candidate. Andress is the author of the 1996 book, ''The Civil War: The Sound of Thunder'' (), which he co-authored with his wife, Irene M. Deasy. In 2002, Andress ran as a write-in candidate for Colorado Congressional Delegation in the 108th United States Congress with a slogan of "Andress for Congress: Honesty". He placed 6th with 109 votes.
