Anberlin
Anberlin is an American alternative rock band formed in Winter Haven, Florida in 2002. Since the beginning of 2007, the band consists of lead vocalist Stephen Christian, guitarists Joseph Milligan and Christian McAlhaney, bassist Deon Rexroat, and drummer Nathan Young. Members of Anberlin originally formed a band under the name SaGoh 24/7 in 1998, releasing two studio albums before disbanding, with the members having a change in musical direction and name. Anberlin was formed in 2002; within a year of forming, they had signed with semi-independent record label Tooth & Nail Records and released their debut album, ''Blueprints for the Black Market''. In 2005, the band released their second album, ''Never Take Friendship Personal''. New Surrender
''New Surrender'' is the fourth studio album by American alternative rock band Anberlin, released on September 30, 2008. It is the band's first album on a major label, after signing with Universal Republic Records on August 16, 2007. The album peaked at number 13 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and 5 on the ''Billboard'' Top Modern Rock / Alternative Albums chart. Anberlin went in to record their fourth album only twelve months after the 2007 release of their third, ''Cities''. The album was recorded at NRG Recording Studios in North Hollywood, California, in early 2008 by producer Neal Avron. ''Lowborn'' (stylized as ''lowborn'') is the seventh studio album by the American alternative rock band Anberlin. The album was scheduled for release on June 24, 2014, but was pushed back to July 22, 2014. This album was produced by the band. The album has been described by Stephen Christian as "eclectic and chaotic, just like a good Anberlin record should be." Critical reception ''Lowborn'' received positive reviews from music critics. On the review combining publication Metacritic, the album has a score of 74 taken from four reviews, meaning the project has seen generally favorable reception. Dark Is The Way, Light Is A Place
''Dark Is the Way, Light Is a Place'' is the fifth studio album by American alternative rock band Anberlin, their second album released through major label Universal Republic, on September 7, 2010. The band recorded the album in Nashville, at Blackbird Studios with Grammy Award-winning producer Brendan O'Brien. Production The band entered Blackbird Studios, Nashville, to begin recording the album in March 2010. It was announced on March 3 that the band would be working with Grammy Award- winning producer Brendan O'Brien, who has worked with the likes of Pearl Jam and Rage Against the Machine. The band was unsure which producer to select for the album, they were however approached by O'Brien. O'Brien had followed Anberlin's career after being introduced to their music by his daughter. ''Vital'' is the sixth studio album by American alternative rock band Anberlin which was released on October 16, 2012. In interviews, vocalist Stephen Christian has stated the album has a youthful, energetic energy and features new influences for the band. Stephen Christian
Stephen Christian is an American singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the alternative rock band Anberlin, as well as the vocalist of his acoustic side-project Anchor & Braille. He and his bandmates started Anberlin in 2002, after the demise of their previous group, known as SaGoh 24/7. He is one of the main songwriters for Anberlin alongside Joseph Milligan, and with the band had released seven albums before their initial disbandment in 2014 and began working on an eighth album in 2020. Many of the albums in the Anberlin discography have peaked in the top ten on various ''Billboard'' charts. He founded the non-profit and humanitarian-oriented band Faceless International, and is the founder of Wood Water Records, the home of Anchor & Braille. ''Cities'' is the third studio album by American alternative rock band Anberlin, released on February 20, 2007. The songs "Godspeed" and "The Unwinding Cable Car" were released as singles with accompanying music videos. The album debuted at No. 19 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Production The band spent more than 40 days in the studio recording ''Cities'' and went back on tour on September 14 after listening to the finished work on the morning of September 13. "Feel Good Drag" (originally released as "The Feel Good Drag") is a song by American alternative rock band Anberlin. The song originally appeared on the band's second album '' Never Take Friendship Personal'' and was re-recorded for their fourth album, ''New Surrender''. "Feel Good Drag" became the first single from ''New Surrender'', which was the band's first album on major label Universal Republic. It was intended for release to American radio stations on August 18, 2008, however after a week-long delay it was released on August 26, 2008. ''Blueprints for the Black Market'' is the debut studio album by the band Anberlin. It was released on May 6, 2003, barely a year after the band formed, and was the only album that was released with guitarist Joey Bruce in the band line-up. ''Blueprints'' had two singles, "Readyfuels", for which a music video was filmed and "Change the World (Lost Ones)". ''Never Take Friendship Personal'' is the second studio album by alternative rock band Anberlin, released on February 1, 2005 on Tooth & Nail Records. This album was chosen as one of Amazon.com's Top 100 Editor's Picks of 2005. Its singles were "A Day Late" and "Paperthin Hymn" and music videos have been made of each. "(The Symphony of) Blasé" is sometimes referred to as "Amsterdam". The album's name is inspired by when the band chose to remove guitarist Joey Bruce. Acceptance is an American pop punk band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1998. Tooth & Nail Records is a Christian rock record label founded by Brandon Ebel in California in November 1993. The label later moved to Seattle, Washington where it is situated today. It is home to many well-known musical acts, including Underoath, Hawk Nelson, Emery, The Almost, FM Static, Family Force 5, Anberlin, and MxPx. Tooth & Nail's first album released was Wish for Eden's ''Pet the Fish'', which was produced by Michael Knott and originally slated to be released by Blonde Vinyl.
