''Ammavin Kaipesi'' ( en, Mother's hand phone, italic=yes) is a 2012 Tamil-language drama film directed and cinematographed by Thangar Bachchan. Shanthnoo Bhagyaraj, Iniya form the cast. Director Thangar Bachan who gave the most memorable films like Azhagi, Solla Marandha Kadhai, Pallikoodam and Onbadhu Roobai Nottu, is coming with a new directorial and production venture Ammavin Kaipesi. The film is based on a novel of the same name written by the Director. Shanthanu and Iniya play the lead role while Thangar Bachan plays a pivotal role. Thangar Bachan (born 1961) is an Indian film director and actor, cinematographer and novelist. He has served as jury member in National Film Awards. Early life Thankar Bachan was born in Pathirakottai, a village near Panruti, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. Career Bachan started his career as a cinematographer in debut film ''Malai Charal''. He was known for his work in '' Mogamul'', '' Bharathi'' and '' Kadhal Kottai''. He made his directorial debut in '' Azhagi''. Apart from films he occasionally contribute on literary works. Azhagam Perumal is an Indian film director and actor. Career Azhagam Perumal hails from the village of Kulasekharapuram in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. All his family members were working in the government service and his parents wanted him to be an engineer. Azhagam Perumal, however, after his graduation, applied to the Adyar Film Institute in spite of stiff opposition from his family. He graduated with a Gold Medal from the Institute in 1991. Harini (singer)
Harini (born 30 April 1979) is an Indian film playback singer and classical singer who sings in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films, working with many leading film composers. She is married to another playback singer, Tippu. Harini learnt Carnatic music from Gowri and Radha Viswanathan from the age of four. In her later years, she learned from Sudha Raghunathan and currently from Suguna Purushotthaman. She used to participate in school competitions and in one such competition which she won, A. R. Rahman who distributed the prizes invited the winners to his studio to record their voices. Haricharan Seshadri, known mononymously as Haricharan (born 20 March 1987), is an Indian Carnatic vocalist, playback singer, and musician who predominantly works in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu music and cinema.
