Alejandro Fernando Amenábar Cantos (born March 31, 1972) is a Spanish-Chilean film director, screenwriter and composer. He has won nine Goyas—including a Goya Award for Best Director for his 2001 film '' The Others''— two European Film Awards and one Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film for ''The Sea Inside'' among other honors. He has written (or co-written) the screenplays to all seven of his films and composed almost all of their soundtracks. Alejandro Jacobo Betts (born Alexander Jacob Betts, 28 October 1947 – 13 March 2020) was a Falklands-born Argentine air-traffic controller and activist who worked with the Argentine government as a technical advisor on the Tierra del Fuego Malvinas Question Provincial Observatory Advisory Council. Betts supported Argentina's claim to the Falkland Islands and was a controversial figure in the Falklands as a result. Betts also was the older brother of Terry Betts, who served as a member of the Falkland Islands Legislative Council and assisted British forces in the Falklands War. Alejandro Carrión Aguirre (11 March 1915 – 4 January 1992) was an Ecuadorian poet, novelist and journalist. He wrote the novel ''La espina'' (1959), the short story book ''La manzana dañada'' (1983), and numerous poetry books. As a journalist he published many of his articles under the pseudonym " Juan Sin Cielo." In 1956 he founded, along with Pedro Jorge Vera, the political magazine '' La Calle''. He directed the literary magazine '' Letras del Ecuador''. Alejandro Enrique Cíchero Konarek (; born April 20, 1977) is a former Venezuelan footballer who played as a defender. Career Born in Caracas, Cichero joined the youth system of Trujillanos Fútbol Club in 1988, being promoted to the first team in 1996 and helping them reach the Copa CONMEBOL Playoff in his second season.
