Al Roker
Albert Lincoln Roker Jr. (born August 20, 1954) is an American weather presenter, journalist, television personality, and author. He is the current weather anchor on NBC's '' Today'', and occasionally co-hosts '' 3rd Hour Today''. He has an inactive American Meteorological Society Television Seal #238. Early life Roker was born in the borough of Queens, New York City, the son of Isabel, of Jamaican descent, and Albert Lincoln Roker Sr., a bus driver of Bahamian descent. He initially wanted to be a cartoonist. He was raised Catholic, his mother's faith, and graduated from Xavier High School in Manhattan. He attended the State University of New York at Oswego where he received a B.A. in communications in 1976. Deborah Roberts
Deborah Ann Roberts (born September 20, 1960) is an American television journalist for the ABC News division of the ABC broadcast television network. Early life and education Roberts was born in Perry, Georgia to Benjamin Roberts, a business owner, and Ruth Roberts, a housewife. She graduated from the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Journalism in 1982. Matthew Todd Lauer (; born December 30, 1957) is an American former television news personality, best known for his work with NBC News. After serving as a local news personality in New York City on WNBC, his first national exposure was as the news anchor for ''The Today Show'' from 1994 to 1997. Joe Witte
Joe Witte (born 1943) is currently an Outreach Specialist for Aquent, a contractor of Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA. He adapts science content for use by 2,000 television meteorologists around the country. Joe Witte started his career as a glaciologist for the USGS, working on the ice of South Cascade Glacier, in the northern Cascades of Washington State, as well as the Nisqually Glacier of Mt. Rainier and Blue Glacier on Mt. Olympus. He was the principal investigator on ice island T-3 in the Arctic Ocean studying the Greenhouse infrared radiation budget as well as the ice crystals of the Arctic clouds, winter and summers. Franklyn Field (born March 30, 1923) is an American television personality and meteorologist who was on TV in New York City for five decades, reporting not only on the weather but also on science and health topics. He was instrumental in publicizing the Heimlich Maneuver to aid food choking victims. Field carries the Seal of Approval of the American Meteorological Society. In the broadcasting industry, an owned-and-operated station (frequently abbreviated as an O&O) usually refers to a television or radio station owned by the network with which it is associated. This distinguishes such a station from an affiliate, which is independently owned and carries network programming by contract.
