Agincourt (band)
Agincourt were a late sixties English psychedelic folk band. The band consisted of John Ferdinando, Peter Howell, and Lee Menelaus. They released one privately pressed album under the band name, ''Fly Away'', on the Merlin label A label (as distinct from signage) is a piece of paper, plastic film, cloth, metal, or other material affixed to a container or product, on which is written or printed information or symbols about the product or item. Psychedelic Folk
Psychedelic folk (sometimes acid folk or freak folk) is a loosely defined form of psychedelic music, psychedelia that originated in the 1960s. It retains the largely acoustic instrumentation of contemporary folk music, folk, but adds musical elements common to psychedelic music. Characteristics Psychedelic folk generally favors acoustic music, acoustic instrumentation although it often incorporates other instrumentation. Peter Howell (musician)
Peter Howell (born 1949) is a musician and composer. He is best known for his work on ''Doctor Who'' as a member of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Howell's musical career began in the late 1960s working with John Ferdinando in various psychedelic folk bands including Agincourt and Ithaca. Howell and Ferdinando recorded five albums before Howell became a member of the Radiophonic Workshop, with which he would remain associated until 1997. ''Doctor Who'' His work on ''Doctor Who'' began in 1975 when he provided some accompanying incidental music for ''Revenge of the Cybermen'' and special sound for '' Planet of Evil''.
