Abdul Hai Arifi
Abdul Hai Arifi (1898–27 March 1986) was a Pakistani Muslim scholar and a Sufi mentor of the Chishti order. He was a disciple of Ashraf Ali Thanwi. He authored books including ''Uswah Rasool-e-Akram'' and ''Death and Inheritance''. He served as the president of Darul Uloom Karachi for ten years. Arifi was an alumnus of Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College and the University of Lucknow. He practiced law between 1926 and 1935, and homeopathy from 1936 until he died on 27 March 1986. His students in Sufism include Muhammad Taqi Usmani and Muhammad Rafi Usmani. Biography Abdul Hai Arifi was born in 1898 in United Provinces of British India. He graduated from Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College in 1923 and got an Bachelor of Laws, LLB degree from the University of Lucknow. He practiced law between 1926 and 1935. Darul Uloom Karachi
Darul Uloom Karachi ( ur, دارالعلوم کراچی) is a Madrasa in Karachi, Pakistan. It was founded by Muhammad Shafi Deobandi in June 1951 at Nanak Wara and later on it transferred to Korangi, Karachi, on March 17, 1957. It continues the tradition of the Darul uloom system initiated by Darul Uloom Deoband. The institution has adopted a balanced approach between religious and worldly matters. The secondary schools have individual faculties for both boys and girls. The school has the highest standards of Islamic education and offers a combined curriculum covering traditional Islamic studies and contemporary academic subjects. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq
General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq HI, GCSJ, ร.ม.ภ, (Urdu: ; 12 August 1924 – 17 August 1988) was a Pakistani four-star general and politician who became the sixth President of Pakistan following a coup and declaration of martial law in 1977. Zia served in office until his death in a plane crash in 1988. He remains the country's longest-serving ''de facto'' head of state and Chief of Army Staff. Deobandis
Deobandi is a revivalist movement within Sunni Islam, adhering to the Hanafi school of law, formed in the late 19th century around the Darul Uloom Madrassa in Deoband, India, from which the name derives, by Muhammad Qasim Nanautavi, Rashid Ahmad Gangohi, and several others, after the Indian Rebellion of 1857–58. The movement pioneered education in religious sciences through the ''Dars-i-Nizami'' associated with the Lucknow-based ''ulema'' of Firangi Mahal with the goal of preserving traditional Islamic teachings from the influx of modernist, secular ideas during British colonial rule.
