Abbas–Mustan
Abbas–Mustan is an Indian filmmaking duo consisting of brothers Abbas Alibhai Burmawalla and Mustan Alibhai Burmawalla, known for directing stylish suspense, action and romantic thrillers in Bollywood with dark-lighted themes. The duo directed the Bollywood films '' Khiladi'', '' Baazigar'', ''Soldier'', '' Ajnabee'', '' Baadshah'', ''Aitraaz'', '' Humraaz'', '' 36 China Town'', '' Race'', ''Race 2'' and comedian Kapil Sharma's debut movie ''Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon''. Early life and career Abbas Burmawalla, Mustan Burmawalla, and their brother Hussain Burmawalla are from Surat in Gujarat state. They began their career with Gujarati films. They joined Sultan Ahmed as assistant director who was directing the movie '' Ganga Ki Saugandh'' (1978). They later joined as assistant director with Govindbhai Patel to do several films. Humraaz
''Humraaz'' () is a 2002 Indian Hindi-language musical romantic thriller film directed by the duo Abbas–Mustan. It stars Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna and Amisha Patel. This film marks the third collaboration between Deol and Abbas–Mustan. The film is inspired from the 1998 movie ''A Perfect Murder''. It was remade in Tamil as '' Girivalam''. Plot While leading a dance troupe, Karan and Priya fall in love and participate in a dance audition and the winner would get the chance of performing on the luxurious Singhania cruise owned by rich businessman Raj Singhania. Taurani under the Tips Industries banner, with UTV Motion Pictures serving as distributor and presenter. ''Soldier'' is a 1998 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Abbas–Mustan starring Bobby Deol, Preity Zinta and Raakhee Gulzar. This was the first of several films where Deol collaborated with Abbas–Mustan. Although ''Soldier'' was Preity Zinta's first film, Mani Ratnam's '' Dil Se..'' ended up being released before ''Soldier'' and was thus Zinta's film debut. ''Soldier'' was the first film in Abbas–Mustan career, which was not a Hollywood remake or adaptation. According to film writer Shyam Goel, it was inspired by a real incident that happened in Punjab where a woman's forehead was branded with the message that her husband was a traitor.
