Abbas (actor)
Abbas (born 21 May 1975 as Mirza Abbas Ali) is a former Indian actor and model from Kolkata, who has predominantly appeared in Tamil and Telugu films, and a few films in Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada. He made his debut with Kadhir's ''Kadhal Desam'' in 1996. Career Abbas grew up watching Hindi films. His maternal grandfather being an actor Farrukh Mirza acted in Neel Darpan (Bengali) and his paternal family being related to actor Feroz Khan. He partook in modelling assignments since his college days won "Face of 94" in Bangalore. Gangai Amaran is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist, writer, film director and actor in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi. He is the younger brother of noted music director Ilaiyaraaja and father of director and actor Venkat Prabhu and actor, composer and singer Premji Amaren. He had two more elder brothers, R. D. S. Manivannan Rajagopal (31 July 1953 – 15 June 2013), better known by his mononym Manivannan, was an Indian film director, actor and activist who worked mainly in Tamil cinema and also worked in a few Telugu & Malayalam films. In a career spanning three decades, he went from being a story and dialogue writer for director Bharathiraja from 1980–82 to a successful director who thrived in experimenting with different genres, before becoming an actor.
