''Aaj Kaa M.L.A Ram Avtar'' (English: ''Today's MLA Ram Avtar'') is a 1984 political satire film starring Rajesh Khanna in the lead role. It was a remake of '' MLA Yedukondalu'' directed by Dasari Narayana Rao in Telugu. The film fetched gross of 2 crores at the box office in 1984. The film was successful at the box office. Dasari Narayana Rao
Dasari Narayana Rao (4 May 1947 – 30 May 2017) was an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, lyricist, and politician known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema, in addition to Hindi cinema. He has directed more than 150 feature films in a variety of genres. He holds the '' Limca World Record'' for directing the most number of films in the world. He is known by the moniker ''Darsaka Ratna'' (). His works emphasize social injustice, corruption and gender discrimination. Shubha Balsavar (''née'' Khote) is an Indian film and television actress who has worked in several Hindi-language and few Marathi-language films. She is also a former women's national champion in swimming and cycling. Sharon Prabhakar (born 4 August 1955) is an Indian pop singer, theatre personality and public speaker. Personal life Prabhakar was born to a Punjabi father who was a public servant, and a Christian mother who was a music teacher. Mahendra Kapoor (9 January 1934 – 27 September 2008) was an Indian playback singer. In a long career spanning decades, his repertoire included popular songs such as ''Chalo ekbaar phir se Ajnabi ban jayen hum dono'' ( Gumrah) and ''Neele Gagan ke tale'' (Hamraaz).
