2017 FIVB Volleyball World League
The 2017 FIVB Volleyball World League was the 28th edition of the annual men's international volleyball tournament played by 36 teams between 2 June and 8 July. The Group 1 Final Round was held in Curitiba, Brazil. In front of a crowd of 23,149 fans, France lifted the FIVB Volleyball World League trophy for the second time of their history, prevailing on an epic battle over hosts Brazil 3–2. This marked the fifth time in the last seven editions with Brazil reaching the final without successfully winning the gold medal. Canada wrapped up their best ever World League campaign by seizing the bronze medal (their first medal at an international FIVB event) after coming from behind for a 3–1 win over United States. Earvin N'Gapeth was elected the Most Valuable Player for the second time, after also being the MVP in 2015. Estádio Joaquim Américo Guimarães, known commonly as Arena da Baixada, is a stadium located in Curitiba, the state capital of Paraná, Brazil. It is the home stadium of Club Athletico Paranaense, and has a capacity of 42,372 people. The stadium was the first in Brazil to sell its naming rights; it was known as ''Kyocera Arena'' between 2005 and 1 April 2008. It was the first retractable roof stadium built in South America. The 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League was the 26th edition of the annual men's international volleyball tournament, played from 16 May to 19 July 2015. The tournament featured a record 32 participating countries from 5 confederations. The teams were divided into 3 groups and 8 pools. The 2016 Men's European Volleyball League was the 13th edition of the annual Men's European Volleyball League, which features men's national volleyball teams from eight European countries. Australia Men's National Volleyball Team
The Australia Men's national volleyball team, also known as Volleyball Team Australia Men (VTAM) or the Volleyroos, is the national volleyball team of the volleyball-playing nation of Australia. Qatar Men's National Volleyball Team
The Qatar men's national volleyball team represents Qatar in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. As of 20 September 2021, the team was ranked 20th in the world. Qatar's best rank in Asian Championship 3rd place, 2023 year. History Qatar first appeared at the Asian Volleyball Championship in 1989. The 2016 FIVB Volleyball World League was the 27th edition of the annual men's international volleyball tournament which was played by a record of 36 teams from 16 June to 17 July 2016. The Group 1 final round was held in Kraków, Poland. After being runners-up on five occasions, Serbia finally claimed their first World League after prevailing over Brazil in straight sets. The defending champions France claimed their first ever bronze medal at the World League after a fast victory in straight sets against Italy. Marko Ivović was elected the most valuable player.
