The 2015 European League of Legends Championship Series (2015 EU LCS) was the third season of the European League of Legends Championship Series. The Summer Split began with a rematch of the 2015 EU LCS Spring playoff finals between Unicorns of Love and fnatic. It was won by fnatic, their fifth split title. Most matches were played at a film studio in Adlershof, Berlin. European League Of Legends Championship Series
The ''League of Legends'' EMEA Championship (LEC) is the professional ''League of Legends'' esports league run by Riot Games in the EMEA ( Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region, in which ten teams compete. Each annual season of play is divided into two splits, spring and summer, both consisting of nine weeks of round-robin tournament play, which then conclude with play-off tournaments between the top six teams. At the end of the season, the top performing teams qualify for the annual ''League of Legends'' World Championship. The LEC represents the highest level of ''League of Legends'' play in the EMEA. With the exception of some touring events, all games of the LEC are played live at Riot Games' studio in Adlershof, Berlin, Germany. In addition to a small studio audience, all games are streamed live in several languages on Twitch and YouTube, with broadcasts regularly attracting over 300,000 viewers. Gambit Esports, formerly Gambit Gaming, is a Russian esports organization owned by telecommunications company MTS. It was established in January 2013 after the acquisition of the former ''League of Legends'' roster of Moscow Five. Danil Reshetnikov (russian: Данил Решетников, born 24 December 1992), better known by his in-game name Diamondprox, is a Russian professional ''League of Legends'' player who is the jungler for Team Spirit. He is best known for his time playing as the jungler for Gambit Esports (formerly Gambit Gaming). He previously played for Team Empire, Moscow Five, the Unicorns of Love and Apex Gaming. Cabochard
Lucas Simon-Meslet, better known as Cabochard, is a French professional ''League of Legends'' player for Karmine Corp. He previously played for several other teams, most notably Gambit Gaming, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Vitality. Career Season 3 Cabochard's first notable tournament was at Paris Games Week 2013, where he competed with Escape the Ninja Pandas. The team ended up finishing in third place at the tournament. Bora Kim (born 15 February 1992), better known as YellOwStaR, is a French professional ''League of Legends'' player and coach. He has played and coached for several teams throughout his career, including Fnatic, SK Gaming, PSG Esports, against All authority, and Team SoloMid. YellOwStaR announced his retirement from professional play on 20 October 2016, but later announced his return on 13 January 2020 as a support for LDLC OL. Carl Martin Erik Larsson (born 20 September 1996), better known as Rekkles (pronounced "reckless"), is a Swedish professional ''League of Legends'' player for Fnatic. He has played for Fnatic, Alliance, Elements, G2 Esports, and Karmine Corp. Originally from Älvängen, near Gothenburg, Rekkles lives in Berlin during the LEC season. Rekkles lived in the Fnatic gaming house in 2013. He became interested in video games after he injured his cruciate ligament playing football. Febiven
Fabian Diepstraten (), better known as Febiven, is a Dutch former professional ''League of Legends'' player. During his career which spanned seven years, he played for several teams, including Misfits Gaming, Clutch Gaming, Fnatic, H2k-Gaming, and Cloud9 Eclipse. Career Febiven first joined Cloud9 Eclipse in the EU CS in January 2014, and this was the start of his eSports career. The team failed to qualify for the EU LCS, however during that time Febiven had attracted the attention of several large organisations. Kim Yeu-jin ( ko, 김의진), better known as Reignover, is a South Korean ''League of Legends'' coach and former professional player. He played for Fnatic of the EU LCS during most of the 2015 season as their jungler. While on Fnatic, he won 2 EU LCS championships and placed third at the 2015 World Championship. After leaving Fnatic, he played for Immortals of the NA LCS in 2016 season, Team Liquid in 2017, and Counter Logic Gaming in 2018. Reignover was named MVP of the 2016 NA LCS Spring Split while he was a member of Immortals. In 2019, he joined Cloud9 as a coach. In 2020, he was promoted to head coach of Cloud9. Heo Seung-hoon ( ko, 허승훈), better known as Huni (), is a South Korean former professional ''League of Legends'' player. Career Huni started his career in ''League of Legends'' as a part of the Samsung organization.
