2015 Primera B Nacional
The 2015 Argentine Primera B Nacional season was the 30th season of Argentine second division, with a total of 22 competing teams. It began 14 February and ended 14 November 2015. Although there was some use of a different name earlier in the year, the AFA has consistently used the Primera B Nacional moniker in releases of late. Competition format The league's format has changed from last season. This year there will be twenty-two teams which will play each other twice for a total of forty-two matches. In November 2014, the AFA announced two teams from this season will be promoted to the Primera División. It was later reported that the champion will be promoted directly and positions 2-5 will compete in the "Torneo Reducido" for the second place after the regular season. At the end of the season, four teams will be relegated. Primera B Nacional
Primera Nacional (usually called simply Nacional B, in English "National B Division", and known as Primera B Nacional until the 2019–20 season) is the second division of the Argentine football league system. The competition is made up of 37 teams. It is played by teams from all over the country. Clubs from Buenos Aires surroundings, as well as some from Santa Fe Province, are promoted from or relegated to the Primera B Metropolitana ("Metropolitan B Division") while for teams from the other provinces the Torneo Federal A ("Federal A Tournament") is the next level down. In Argentine football, Nacional B is the second-highest league, and from it, the three best teams are automatically promoted to Primera División. Club Sportivo Estudiantes is an Argentine association football club based in the city of San Luis in the homonymous province. The senior squad currently plays in Primera B Nacional, the second division of Argentine football league system. Founded on June 20, 1920, the club belongs to regional Liga Sanluiseña de Fútbol, being the most successful team with 33 championships won. Pergamino () is an Argentine city in the Province of Buenos Aires. It has a population of about 104,985 inhabitants as per the and is the administrative seat of its county, Pergamino Partido. Its UN/LOCODE is ARPGO. History Long valued for its many springs and fertile land, the area had been home to the Charrúa and Araucanian people when it was first noticed by Spanish colonist around 1620. The club is named in honour of Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig, a victorious General from World War I History In November 1918 a group of British workers on the Argentinian Central Railroad set up a football team to take part in the local soccer championship. Club Atlético Chacarita Juniors (usually known simply as Chacarita) is an Argentine football club headquartered in Villa Crespo, Buenos Aires, while the stadium is located in Villa Maipú, General San Martín Partido of Greater Buenos Aires.
