The 2011 Liga Super Malaysia ( en, 2011 Malaysia Super League) is the eighth season of the Malaysia Super League, the top-tier professional football league in Malaysia.http://www.rsssf.com/tablesm/malay2011.html 2011 Liga Super The season was held from 29 January and concluded on 30 July 2011. The Malaysia Super League ( ms, Liga Super Malaysia) is the men's top professional football division of the Malaysian football league system. Administered by the Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP), now known as the Malaysian Football League (MFL), the Malaysia Super League is contested by twelve teams that operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Malaysia Premier League, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated and replaced by the promoted top two teams in that division. The league replaced the former top-tier league, Liga Perdana 1 in the Malaysian football league system, which ran from 1998 to 2003. 33 clubs have competed in the division since the inception of the Malaysia Super League in 2004, with eight teams winning the title (Selangor, Kedah Darul Aman, Kelantan, Sri Pahang, Perlis, Negeri Sembilan, LionsXII and Johor Darul Ta'zim). Penang Football Club (or simply known as Penang FC) is a Malaysian professional football club based in George Town, Penang, that competes in the Malaysia Super League. Johor Darul Ta'zim Football Club or simply JDT is a professional football club based in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. The club was founded in 1972 as PKENJ FC and currently competes in the top division of Malaysian football, the Malaysia Super League. The club is owned by Tunku Ismail Idris. The Shah Alam Stadium ( Malay: ''Stadium Shah Alam'') is a multi-purpose stadium located in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. The Kuala Lumpur Stadium or KLFA Stadium ( ms, Stadium Bola Sepak Kuala Lumpur) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 2009 Malaysia Premier League
The 2009 Liga Premier ( en, 2009 Premier League), also known as the TM Liga Premier for sponsorship reasons, is the sixth season of the Liga Premier, the second-tier professional football league in Malaysia. The season was held from 9 January and concluded on 2 August 2009. The Liga Premier champions for 2009 season was Harimau Muda. As a development team, Harimau Muda had to stay in Liga Premier while T-Team and Johor promoted to Liga Super as a second and third placed team in the league respectively. Kuala Lumpur was later promoted to Liga Super too to keep the team number balanced after Kuala Muda Naza and UPB-MyTeam withdrawal from Super League for 2010 season.
