The 15th Guldbagge Awards ceremony, presented by the Swedish Film Institute, honored the best Swedish films of 1978 and 1979, and took place on 24 September 1979. '' A Respectable Life'' directed by Stefan Jarl was presented with the award for Best Film. Operakällaren
Operakällaren is a classic and exclusive restaurant in Kungsträdgården, Stockholm.Operakällaren in Nordisk familjebok (second edition, 1914) It is owned through the Nobis corporation by Alessando Catenacci. Operakällaren opened in 1787, and during its first decades it was an ordinary restaurant. In the 1830s, it became known for its clientele, many of which were artists and politicians. In the 1870s, Operakällaren was refurbished into a more exclusive restaurant by then owner Bengt Carlsson. The restaurant had linen tablecloths and napkins on the tables, and the walls was covered with wooden panels. Sif Einarsdotter Ruud Fallde born Sif Einarsdotter Ruud (6 May 1916 – 15 August 2011), best known as Sif Ruud, was a Swedish film actress. Born in Stockholm to Einar Ruud and Inez Engström, she began her career in 1938, and appeared in 140 films. At the 15th Guldbagge Awards she won the award for Best Actress for her role in '' A Walk in the Sun''. Guldbagge Awards Ceremonies
The Guldbagge Awards ( sv, Guldbaggen, en, Gold scarab) is an official and annual Swedish film awards ceremony honoring achievements in the Swedish film industry. Winners are awarded a statuette depicting a rose chafer, better known by the name Guldbaggen. The awards, first presented in 1964 at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm, are overseen by the Swedish Film Institute. It is described as the Swedish equivalent of the Academy Awards. The awards ceremony was first televised in 1981 on SVT2, and has since then been broadcast, almost every year, on SVT1, SVT2 or TV4. History The first Guldbagge Awards were presented on September 25, 1964, at a private party at Grand Hôtel in Stockholm. Four "guldbaggar" were awarded, honoring directors, actors, actresses and other personalities of the film-making industry of the time for their works during the 1963–64 period.
