Career
Muirhead made his debut for Aberdeen as a substitute in a 1–1 draw with
Dundee United in November 2002.
He went on to make a total of 78 appearances for Aberdeen (66 league appearances), scoring twice. He scored his first goal for the club in a 5-0
League Cup win against

Muirhead's time at the Pars was injury plagued and he left the club when his contract expired at the end of the 2009/10 season.
