Sarfraz married Arifa Sarfraz, the daughter of Major General Muhammad Arshad Chaudhary. They have two sons, Ahmed Ali, Muhammad Ali, and daughter Zainab. At the time of Sarfraz's death, Ahmed Ali, an officer in the
