PSM was renamed ''Pabrik Alat Peralatan Angkatan Darat (Pabal AD)'' in 1958, and in 1962 into ''Perindustrian TNI Angkatan Darat (Pindad)''. In 2020, Pindad was reported to have exported Indonesian-made ammunition to Myanmar.
