in analyzing music. She grew up in a musical family with her mother majoring in composition and her older sister as a pianist. Despite that, she had no formal training in music and didn't pursue it until her early years in college. In 2006, her music career started when she submitted and sang her demos at a management company. This led her to be noticed and discovered by Yoo Hee-yeol who owned an agency called Toy Music (now Antenna). She eventually joined the company the same year leading to her early beginnings as the company's first trainee. Before debuting, she studied MIDI by herself and wrote songs while also serving as a keyboard session for stages and album of Lucid Fall, Epik High and

. On October 15, 2008 Sae-byul released her first mini-album "Diary" and by the 18th, debuted as a solo-artist through the 2008 Grand Mint Festival. On March 19, 2009, Sae-byul participated in a compilation album called '남과 여…그리고 이야기' (Man and Woman... and Story) that contains 14 songs by 28 male and female artists from Korea and abroad. Park Sae-byul and Lee Han-cheol sang the song '바야흐로 사랑의 계절' (Now is the season of love) which was included in the album. In June, Sae-byul has been an active MC for MBCnet's 'Culture Concert Nanjang' that features real live music performances particularly introducing indie bands. In March 2010, she released her first regular album "새벽별 (Morning Star)" written and produced by herself. Sae-byul also took park on her agency's first label concert called 'Antenna Music Big Disappointment Show' alongside her colleagues Yoo Hee-yeol, Jung Jae-hyung, Lucid Fall and Peppertones on March 23 to 25. On August 28, Park Sae-byul held her sold out and first solo concert called '한여름 밤의 꿈'(A Midsummer Night's Dream). On December 10 to 12, Sae-byul held a year end concert called 'A Midsummer Night's Star 2010'. On April 15 to 17, 2011, Sae-byul once more joined her labelmates in a concert called 'Antenna Music Warriors'. Sae-byul was then invited to be a radio DJ hosting "아름다운 동요세상 (Beautiful World of Children's Songs)" on the education channel EBS from March 6, 2011 to February 28, 2012. On May 28, she once more joined her labelmates for an encore concert called 'Always, Us Together'. Sae-byul also contributed in dubbing the singing voice of main characters in Disney films. On October 25 to 26, Sae-byul held a solo concert called 'Star of an Autumn Night 2013'. In 2014, Sae-byul became part of the guest judge panel for K-pop Star 4 representing Antenna Music. In the same year, she sang for the Korean dubbing of Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast. On June 11, Sae-byul took part in composing an OST for SBS series ' You're All Surrounded' titled 'I Only See You' sang by Kwon Jinah.
