Geography

Mosnang has an area, , of . Of this area, 47.3% is used for agricultural purposes, while 48.8% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 3.8% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.2%) is non-productive (rivers or lakes). The municipality is located in the Toggenburg ''Wahlkreis''. It consists of the villages of Mosnang, Mühlrüti and Libingen as well as the
