Walters gained early notice by starring opposite Don Johnson in ''The Harrad Experiment'', a sexual revolution film that was a surprise hit in 1973. After her five year run as second-oldest daughter, Joanie, on ''Eight is Enough'', she made guest appearances on a number of television series through the 1980s, such as ''
