. Kagoshima Aquarium is the first aquarium in Japan to successfully feed Chinese sturgeon and display under salt water. In October 2011, the number of visitors reached 10 million. At the end of the route, the "Sea of Silence", which was conceived by the first director, Hiromasa Yoshida, is displayed along with the text. The creatures are not exhibited inside and are filled only with water, but it is said that this is to make people think about the marine environment.
