On April 29, 2024, the Dolphins picked up the fifth-year option on Waddle's contract. On May 30, Waddle and the Dolphins agreed to a three–year, $84.75 million contract extension. In week 12, he had eight receptions for 144 yards and a touchdown in a 34–15 win over the Patriots. In the 2024 season, he had 58 receptions for 744 yards and two touchdowns.
