Congress

Landis was elected as a Republican to the Seventy-sixth and to the four succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1939 – January 3, 1949). He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1948 to the Eighty-first Congress.


Later career and death

He served as a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1944 and Indiana State convention in 1964. He served as assistant to the Administrator, Commodity Stabilization Service, Department of Agriculture, from April 1954 to January 1961. He died in
