Staff and pupils

According to pupils, teaching staff are memorable. The school's website states: "We will challenge and address explicit or implicit bias towards members of our community based upon any protected characteristic. In doing so, we recognise that sometimes these can occur as a result of lack of awareness or unconscious thoughts and actions. We understand that these may exist within ourselves and the intuitions we create, and are committed to facilitating understanding and education, as well as action, as an agent of change", and provides resources for student wellbeing and dealing with prejudice. To deal with bullying, the school uses various methods to make reporting easier and more comfortable for pupils. For simpler issues, there is a "Call it out" link within the school's website, which they can use to digitally report behaviour if they do not prefer face-to-face conversations. There is a designated Safeguarding Team, consisting of Mr M Hooper and Mr C Merrick, including other staff, which deals with larger issues including but not limited to: sexual harassment, crimes, concerns for abuse, self harm, and morehttps://www.fitzwimarc.com/safeguarding/35659.html.
