Early life and education

Emre Kongar was born in 1941 in Istanbul, to İhsan Kongar, a philosophy teacher at Şişli Terakki High School and Pertevniyal High School and Mesude Kongar, also a philosophy teacher at Şişli Terakki High School and Zapyon High School.
