2005–2008: Indie films and career breakthrough

Martin's big break in show business was getting the lead role in the 2005 indie film, '' Masahista'' (The Masseur) directed by Brillante Mendoza, who was making his directorial debut at that time under Gee Films Productions International and Centerstage Productions. It was a film about a young man who gives massages to gay men in exchange of extra service.
