At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 11,859 in 3,270 households.
There were 8,716 inhabitants in 2,807 households at the following census of 2011.
The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 9,459 in 3,036 households. The most populous of its 40 villages was
Kuh Boneh, with 1,630 people.
