UX Antliae
UX Antliae is a post-AGB and R Coronae Borealis variable star that has a base apparent magnitude of around 11.85, with irregular dimmings down to below magnitude 18.0. Researchers David Kilkenny and J.E. Westerhuys of the South African Astronomical Observatory confirmed that UX Antliae was an R Coronae Borealis variable in 1990 after noting the similarity of its spectrum to the RCB star W Mensae W Mensae (W Men) is an unusual yellow supergiant star in the Large Magellanic Cloud in the southern constellation Mensa. It is an R Coronae Borealis variable and periodically decreases in brightness by several magnitudes. W Men is very .... It had been suspected of being one since 1940, but had been little-studied and exhibited no characteristic declines between 1975 and 1990. Assuming that its absolute magnitude is around -5, it has been estimated as lying 25000 parsecs distant from Earth. Kilkenny and Westerhuys noted that its spectrum fit with that of a star of ...

Les UX
The ''UX'' (short for ''Urban eXperiment'') is an underground organization of Urban explorers that improves hidden corners of Paris. Their work includes an undercover effort to repair and restore the Panthéon's clock, building a cinema — complete with a bar and a restaurant — in a section of the Paris Catacombs underneath the Trocadéro, restoring medieval crypts, and staging plays and readings in monuments after dark. The group's membership is largely secret, but its spokespeople include Lazar Kunstmann. History With its start in September 1981, the founders of the group stole plans of the many underground passageways and tunnels for which Paris is famous. Using this information as a base, the group of anonymous artists and citizens have since restored much of Paris's underground infrastructure, including the Panthéon clock, which chimed for the first time in many years after its repair. The group is also responsible for over a dozen other projects, including those whi ...

Esperanto Orthography
Esperanto is written in a Latin-script alphabet of twenty-eight letters, with upper and lower case. This is supplemented by punctuation marks and by various logograms, such as the Numerical digit, digits 0–9, currency signs such as $ € ¥ £ ₷, and mathematical symbols. The creator of Esperanto, L. L. Zamenhof, declared a principle of "one letter, one sound", though this is a general rather than strict guideline.Kalocsay & Waringhien, ''Plena analiza gramatiko'', § 17 Twenty-two of the letters are identical in form to letters of the English alphabet (''q, w, x,'' and ''y'' being omitted). The remaining six have diacritical marks: ''C-circumflex, ĉ, G-circumflex, ĝ, H-circumflex, ĥ, J-circumflex, ĵ, S-circumflex, ŝ,'' and ''U-breve, ŭ'' – that is, ''c, g, h, j,'' and ''s circumflex,'' and ''u breve.'' Standard alphabet Standard Esperanto orthography uses the Latin script. Sound values The letters have approximately the sound values of the help:IPA, IPA, w ...

UX Arietis
UX Arietis is a triple star system located in the northern zodiacal constellation of Aries. Based upon parallax measurements from the Gaia satellite, it is roughly 165 light years away. The star varies in brightness from magnitude 6.35 to 6.71, meaning it may be intermittently visible to the unaided eye under ideal dark-sky conditions. In 1972, Robert E. Montle and Douglas S. Hall discovered that the star's brightness varies. It was given its variable star designation in 1973. The primary, component Aa, is the variable star, of the RS CVn type. The variability of the star is believed due to a combination of cool star spots and warm flares, set against the baseline quiescent temperature of the stellar atmosphere. The variability appears to be cyclical with a period of 8−9 years. A more distant companion, component C, shares a common proper motion This glossary of astronomy is a list of definitions of terms and concepts relevant to astronomy and cosmology, the ...
