SK Ull
Skiklubben Ull was a Norwegian Nordic skiing club based in Oslo. Founded in 1883, Skiklubben Ull attracted several skilled sportsmen who between 1883 and 1891 won six Ladies' Cups and one King's Cup in national skiing events. The sporting facilities belonging the club were located in Vestre Aker, with the ski jumping hill Ullbakken near Frognerseteren being opened in 1884. The prestigious Husebyrennet was staged there once. Members of SK Ull were later instrumental in moving this prestigious contest to the hill Holmenkollbakken. Club members also held important positions in the general administration of skiing in Norway. The Non-Party List Liechtenstein (, ULL) was a political party in Liechtenstein that existed from 1987 to 1999. History The party was founded in 1987 by the people responsible to the opposition to the construction of an art museum in Vaduz in 1983, which directly led to the Kunsthaus case. It sought to challenge the political dominance of both the Progressive Citizens' Party and the Patriotic Union, but also wanted to take a less radical approach to the recently formed Free List. The party first contested the 1987 local elections and won two seats in the Vaduz municipal council. In the 1991 local elections, it managed to win a seat in Vaduz and in Triesenberg and one seat in Triesenberg in 1995. Ullensaker/Kisa IL, commonly referred to as Ull/Kisa, is a Norwegian sports club from Jessheim in Ullensaker. Founded in 1894, it has sections for association football, team handball and athletics. General history The club was founded on 15 December 1894. After the Second World War it incorporated the AIF club ''Ullensaker AIL'', founded 1932. Ull/Kisa plays with a yellow shirt and green shorts. In football, this is completed with yellow stockings. Athletics The club has had some Norwegian champions, mostly within running events. An early medal winner was Svein Skolt, who took a national bronze medal in the steeplechase in 1951. A few years later, Berit Dønnum took a double 800 metres title in 1962 and 1963. In Norse mythology, Ullr (Old Norse: ) is a Æsir, god associated with skiing. Although literary attestations of Ullr are sparse, evidence including relatively ancient place-name evidence from Scandinavia suggests that he was a major god in earlier Germanic paganism. Proto-Germanic *''wulþuz'' ('Glory (religion), glory') appears to have been an important concept of which his name is a reflex. The word appears as ''owlþu-'' on the 3rd-century Thorsberg chape. Greyhawk, also known as the World of Greyhawk, is a fictional world designed as a campaign setting for the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' fantasy roleplaying game. Although not the first campaign world developed for ''Dungeons & Dragons''—Dave Arneson's '' Blackmoor'' campaign predated it by about a year—the world of Greyhawk closely identified with early development of the game beginning in 1972, and after being published it remained associated with ''Dungeons & Dragons'' publications until 2008. Ulleskelf Railway Station
Ulleskelf railway station in Ulleskelf, North Yorkshire, England, is south of York. History The station opened on 29 May 1839 on the York and North Midland Railway near where it crossed the River Wharfe. It appears to have been redesigned and slightly relocated following the construction of the bridge carrying New Road (the B1223) over the tracks: the first station building was either adjacent and at right angles to the Ulleskelf Arms public house, or directly across the track from the pub on West End Road. Neither of these buildings survives. A 1888 survey shows the station in its current position on the south side of the new road bridge, with a new access road from the east end of the bridge across Hall Garth to the junction of Main Street and a newly-extended Church Fenton Lane, alongside a goods yard built on the site which was a plant nursery on the 1849 map.
