The Supernaturals
The Supernaturals are a guitar-based indie rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. The band signed to Parlophone in 1996, and had a string of singles which were taken from their three albums and four EPs. Other members included Mark Guthrie, Derek McManus, Gavin Crawford and Ken McAlpine. The band's best known songs ("Smile" and "I Wasn't Built To Get Up") were featured prominently in a series of television advertisements. In total they scored five Top 40 entries in the UK Singles Chart. The band broke up in 2002, before reforming in 2012, and they continue to record music, and perform concerts, to this day. Career The band was formed in 1991 by Derek McManus (guitar), James McColl (guitar/vocals), Gavin Crawford (drums) and Mark Guthrie (bass). ''It Doesn't Matter Anymore'' is the debut album by Scottish people, Scottish Britpop band The Supernaturals on the Parlophone label. It reached number 9 on the UK Albums Chart in 1997, and spawned four top 40 singles on the UK Singles Chart. Production ''It Doesn't Matter Anymore'' was recorded at several studios: Jacobs, Eden Studios (recording facility), Eden, Trident Studios, Trident, Chapel, Chipping Norton Recording Studios, Chipping Norton, and Riverside Studios, Riverside. No Surprises
"No Surprises" is a song by the English rock band Radiohead, released as the fourth and final single from their third studio album, ''OK Computer'' (1997), in 1998. It was also released as a mini-album in Japan, titled ''No Surprises / Running from Demons''. The singer, Thom Yorke, wrote "No Surprises" while Radiohead were on tour with R.E.M. in 1995. It features glockenspiel and a "childlike" sound inspired by the 1966 Beach Boys album ''Pet Sounds''. Yorke described it as a "fucked-up nursery rhyme", with a gentle mood and harsh lyrics conveying dissatisfaction with social or political order. The music video, directed by Grant Gee, features Yorke wearing a helmet as it fills with water, inspired by the 1960s science fiction and underwater escape acts. "The Drugs Don't Work" is a song by English Rock music, rock band the Verve. The song was written by Richard Ashcroft and is featured on their third studio album, ''Urban Hymns''. It was released on 1 September 1997 as the second single from the album, debuting at number one on the UK singles chart. The beginning of the video shows the band walking down the street, following on from the end of "Bitter Sweet Symphony". The Verve

Gene (band)
Gene are a British rock band that rose to prominence in the mid-1990s. Formed in 1993, they were categorized by the UK music press as a Britpop band and were often drawn comparisons to the Smiths because of the similarities to Morrissey in the demeanour and lyrical style of lead singer Martin Rossiter. Boo Radleys
The Boo Radleys are an English alternative rock band who were associated with the shoegazing and Britpop movements in the 1990s. They originally formed in Wallasey, England, in 1988, with singer/guitarist Simon "Sice" Rowbottom, guitarist/songwriter Martin Carr, and bassist Tim Brown. Their name is taken from the character Boo Radley in Harper Lee's 1960 novel, ''To Kill a Mockingbird''. The band split up in 1999. Silver Sun
Silver Sun are a British power pop band, who formed in 1995 in Camden, London. They released their self-titled debut album in 1997, and after two major label releases that saw moderate success, the band released two further albums independently. Their sound is a combination of harder-edged alternative rock and classic power pop, with an emphasis on multi-layered vocal harmonies. Career They were initially called Sun..! and released their first EP under that name. They were forced to alter the name soon afterwards, and chose 'Silver' after the Beatles' original name, the Silver Beetles; also the Beatles song "It's All Too Much" from " Yellow Submarine" has a line "Set me on a silver sun, for I know that I'm free". Ash are a Northern Irish Rock music, rock band formed in Downpatrick, County Down in 1992 by vocalist and guitarist Tim Wheeler, bassist Mark Hamilton and drummer Rick McMurray. As a three-piece, they released mini-album ''Trailer (album), Trailer'' in 1994 and full-length album ''1977 (Ash album), 1977'' in 1996. This 1996 release was named by ''NME'' as one of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
