David Bowie was an English singer-songwriter and musician who started his career as a member of a band called the Konrads, under the name David or Davie Jones, in 1962. Since starting his solo career in 1964, his solo band has gone under many names, including, the Hype, Arnold Corns, the Spiders from Mars and Tin Machine. At the time of his retirement from solo live performances in 2004, his band included himself on vocals, guitars, stylophone and harmonica, Earl Slick on guitar, Gerry Leonard on guitar, keyboards and vocals, Gail Ann Dorsey on bass guitar and vocals, Sterling Campbell on drums, Mike Garson on piano and keyboards and Catherine Russell on keyboards, percussion, guitar and vocals. Mike Garson
Michael David Garson (born July 29, 1945) is an American pianist, who has worked with David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, St. Vincent, Duran Duran, Free Flight, The Smashing Pumpkins, Melissa Auf der Maur, CSS and The Pretty Reckless. Early career Garson went to Lafayette High School in Brooklyn. After graduating from Brooklyn College with a music degree in 1970, he was a member of rock/country/jazz band Brethren with Rick Marotta, Tom Cosgrove and Stu Woods. Johnny Edward
John Edward Flux, (31 October 1945 – 23 October 2021) professionally known as Johnny Edward, was a British musician, writer and record producer, also known as the creator of the children's television character Metal Mickey. Anthony Edward Visconti (born April 24, 1944) is an American record producer, musician and singer. Since the late 1960s, he has worked with an array of performers. His first hit single was T. Rex's " Ride a White Swan" in 1970, the first of many hits in collaboration with Marc Bolan. "I'm Waiting for the Man" is a song by American rock band the Velvet Underground. Written by Lou Reed, it was first released on their 1967 debut album, '' The Velvet Underground & Nico''. The lyrics describe a man's efforts to obtain heroin in Harlem. In various reviews, it is described as "tough garage rock", "proto-punk classic", and "one of the all-time classic rock songs", with renditions by a number of artists. The Riot Squad were a pop group from London, initially managed and produced by Larry Page and later, for their reunion, by Joe Meek. James George Tomkins (14 February 1941 – 2 October 2012), known professionally as Big Jim Sullivan, was an English guitarist. Best known as a session guitarist, he was one of the most in-demand studio musicians in the UK in the 1960s and 1970s, and performed on around 750 charting singles over his career, including 54 UK number one hits.
