Temporal (band)
Temporal are an Australian metal band from Perth. The band formed in late 2010 through brothers Anthony and Stephen Santoro and guitarist Urvin Seeburuth. No longer Active After a few lineup changes resulting in the addition of Scott Mcmullen (vocals) and Michael Barr (bass) the band recorded their debut release "Persecution" with Singaporean producer Roland Lim (Make Them Suffer, Birds of Tokyo, Dyscord). The single was released on 1 March 2012, receiving positive reviews and peaking at #22 on the Triple J Unearthed Charts. The band recorded their EP ''Exitium'' with Roland Lim during September 2012. The album was officially released through Bandcamp on 6 December. The EP peaked at number 5 on the Australian Metal Charts on iTunes. Temporal (Radio Tarifa Album)
''Temporal'' is the second album by the Spanish band Radio Tarifa, released internationally in 1997. The band supported the album with a North American tour. Production The album was produced by Fain Dueñas and Vincent Molino; Dueñas was also the musical director. ''Temporal'' incorporates more flamenco elements into the band's sound. Radio Tarifa used such instruments as the darbuka, oud, crumhorn, and ney. Studio musicians backed Radio Tarifa's three main members. "El Mandil de Carolina" is a traditional Castilian and Galician composition. Temporal (Love Spirals Downwards Album)
Love Spirals Downwards was an American, California-based band that made music that incorporated themes from ethereal wave, dream pop, drum and bass and electronica. History Love Spirals Downwards was begun in the late 1980s by multi-instrumentalist Ryan Lum. Lum initially worked with several different vocalists including Kristen Perry, who co-wrote a demo version of the song "Kykeon." Hearing these early cassette recordings while studying abroad in London, Kristen's sister and Lum's then-girlfriend Suzanne decided she wanted to try out for the band when she returned to America. At that time Lum was pursuing a philosophy degree, while Perry was in a masters program for psychology. ''Temporal'' is a compilation album by American post-metal band Isis, containing various demo recordings, unreleased tracks and remixes from throughout the band's history. It was released on November 6, 2012, by Ipecac. The compilation includes demos and alternate versions of songs from '' Oceanic'', ''Panopticon'' and '' Wavering Radiant''. It also features songs originally from '' Sawblade EP'' and '' Melvins / Isis''. The compilation also includes a DVD of all the band's music videos. ''Temporal'' is a 2022 Sri Lankan science fiction short film directed by Akash Sunethkumara. The film stars Vimukthi Kiriella, Ishanka Abeysekara, Krishantha Mendis with a cameo appearance by Lakshman Mendis. Plot On a tragic night, a physicist challenges the limits of time travel to save the woman he loves, but soon discovers its inherent dangers are far greater than he expects. Kalpa is a physicist employed at Tusker Enterprises in the Research and Development Division where he works on a time-travel machine which he tries to make functional. He misses a night out that his girlfriend Nikita had organized to introduce him to her friends, coinciding with Mallett's Comet flying over the city. Temporality
In philosophy, temporality refers to the idea of a linear progression of past, present, and future. The term is frequently used, however, in the context of critiques of commonly held ideas of linear time. In social sciences, temporality is studied with respect to the human perception of time and the social organization of time. The perception of time in Western thought underwent significant changes in the three hundred years between the Middle Ages and modernity. Temporality (ecclesiastical)
Temporalities or temporal goods are the secular properties and possessions of the church. The term is most often used to describe those properties (a '' Stift'' in German or ''sticht'' in Dutch) that were used to support a bishop or other religious person or establishment. Its opposite are spiritualities. History In the Middle Ages, the temporalities were usually those lands that were held by a bishop and used to support him. A temporal database stores data relating to time instances. It offers temporal data types and stores information relating to past, present and future time. Temporal databases can be uni-temporal, bi-temporal or tri-temporal. More specifically the temporal aspects usually include valid time, transaction time and/or decision time. * Valid time is the time period during or event time at which a fact is true in the real world. * Transaction time is the time at which a fact was recorded in the database. * Decision time is the time at which the decision was made about the fact. Ephemeral
Ephemerality (from the Greek word , meaning 'lasting only one day') is the concept of things being transitory, existing only briefly. Academically, the term ephemeral constitutionally describes a diverse assortment of things and experiences, from digital media to types of streams. "There is no single definition of ephemerality".
