Teledildonics (also known as cyberdildonics) is the name coined for virtual sex encounters using Computer network, networked electronic Sex toy, sex toys to mimic and extend human sexual interaction. The term became known after technology critic and writer Howard Rheingold used it in his 1991 book ''Virtual Reality''. OhMiBod is an American company that manufactures sex toys, based in New Hampshire, United States. Overview Its name has been used as a collective reference to a range of remote controlled vibrator (sex toy), vibrating sex toys. The device originally translated an electronic music output into vibrations, with the volume and beat of the music determining the strength of the vibrations. Howard Rheingold (born 1947) is an American critic, writer, and teacher, known for his specialties on the cultural, social and political implications of modern communication media such as the Internet, mobile telephony and virtual communities. Biography Rheingold was born on July 7, 1947, in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, in 1968. His senior thesis was entitled ''What Life Can Compare with This?
