Super Goal
A super goal was a method of scoring used in the Australian Football League's pre-season competition in the sport of Australian rules football, from 2003 to 2017. Under the rule, a goal scored from a distance greater than fifty metres is awarded nine points, instead of the regulation six points. The innovation is not used during the premiership season. The super goal was introduced before the 2003 Wizard Cup. The rules governing whether or not a goal counts as a super goal are as follows: *For a goal on the run to be considered a super goal, the grounded foot of the player at the time the ball is kicked must be entirely outside the 50-metre arc. *If the goal is kicked from a set shot, the mark must be outside the 50 metre arc. The Australian Football League (AFL) is the pre-eminent professional sports, professional competition of Australian rules football. It was originally named the Victorian Football League (VFL) and was founded in 1896 as a breakaway competition from the Victorian Football League#Victorian Football Association, Victorian Football Association (VFA), with its 1897 VFL season, inaugural season in 1897. It changed its name to Australian Football League in 1990 after expanding its competition to other Australian states in the 1980s. 2018 JLT Community Series
The 2018 AFL season was the 122nd season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 22 March until 29 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. The premiership was won by the West Coast Eagles for the fourth time, after it defeated by five points in the AFL Grand Final. Pre-season The pre-season began with the 2018 AFLX competition. Fast5 (originally called Fastnet) is a variation of netball featuring shortened games and goals worth multiple points. The new format was announced by the International Federation of Netball Associations (IFNA) (now the International Netball Federation) in 2008, and was primarily developed for a new international competition, the Fast5 Netball World Series. The rules were revamped for 2012, with the variation being renamed Fast5. Twenty20 (abbreviated T20) is a shortened format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the county cricket, inter-county competition. A field goal (FG) is a means of scoring in gridiron football. To score a field goal, the team in possession of the ball must place kick, or drop kick, the ball through the goal, i.e., between the uprights and over the crossbar. Stars Football League
The Stars Football League (SFL) was an American football league that operated primarily in Florida from 2011 to 2013. The league was headquartered in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. It was a single-entity league and players were paid a few hundred dollars a game, while teams revenue came from tickets, concessions and sponsorships. The SFL also bought airtime on local radio stations and tried to sells shares in the league. Rules The league followed standard American football rules, with two exceptions.
