Sheikhpura District
Sheikhpura district is one of the thirty-eight districts in Bihar, India and a part of the Munger division with Sheikhpura as its administrative headquarters. Established on 31 July 1994 from the Munger district due to political efforts by Rajo Singh, it was the least populous district in Bihar as of the 2011 census. Shri Krishna Sinha, the first chief minister of Bihar, was born in Maur village, which is now situated in Barbigha block of this district. History It is believed that during the Mahabharata era, a demoness named ''Hiḍimbā'' lived in the hillocks of Sheikhpura's eastern stretch. She married Bhima, one of the Pandava brothers, and they had a heroic son named Ghatotkacha. Shri Krishna Sinha
Shri Krishna Singh (Sinha) (21 October 1887 – 31 January 1961), also known as Shri Babu, was the first List of chief ministers of Bihar, chief minister of the Indian state of Bihar (1946–61). Except for the period of World War II, Sinha was the chief minister of Bihar from the time of the first Congress Ministry in 1937 until his death in 1961. He led the Dalit entry into the Vaidyanath Temple, Deoghar, Baidyanath Dham, Deoghar. He was the first chief minister in the country to abolish the zamindari system. Rajo Singh (25 March 1928 – 9 September 2005), also known as Rajo Babu, was a politician from Bihar, India. He remained active in the electoral politics at the state and national level for over 50 years.
