Marylands School was a residential school for boys with learning difficulties originally located in Hall's Road, Middleton from 1955, and from 1966 at Nash Road, Halswell, Christchurch, New Zealand. It was run by the Roman Catholic order Brothers Hospitallers of St. John of God. Sexual abuse at the school from the 1970s came to public attention in the 2000s, and survivor testimony was recorded as part of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care (2018-2023). The Brothers Hospitallers of Saint John of God, officially the Hospitaller Order of the Brothers of Saint John of God (abbreviated as OH), are a Catholic religious order founded in 1572.
