Olden, Norway
Olden is a village in Vestland county, Norway, at the mouth of the Oldeelva river and northern end of the Oldedalen valley on the southern shore of the Nordfjorden, southwest of the village of Loen, southeast of Stryn, and east of the village of Innvik. The village has a population (2023) of 666 and a population density of . Attractions Olden is a major tourist area. The cruise port in Olden had 102 cruise ship arrivals in 2019. The Briksdalsbreen glacier, a popular hiking destination, is located about south of Olden, at the end of the Oldedalen valley. It is a small arm off the main Jostedalsbreen glacier. There are two churches in Olden, the Old Olden Church (built in 1759) and Olden Church (built in 1934). Despite its relatively small population the village does contain several shops including a high end clothes shop, a supermarket and a few gift shops. Olden is an unincorporated community in Eastland County, Texas, United States. Olden has a post office, with the ZIP code 76466. Olden is located on I-20 between Ranger and Eastland in northern Eastland County. The community originated as a railroad town on the Texas and Pacific Railway. Andrew Ray (31 May 193920 August 2003) was an English actor who was best known as a child star. Biography He was born Andrew Olden (Ray was his father's stage name) in Southgate, Middlesex, the son of the radio comic Ted Ray and his wife, showgirl Dorothy Sybil (née Stevens). Ray's life was transformed at the age of 10 when he was cast in the title part of ''The Mudlark'', a 20th Century Fox film starring Alec Guinness and Irene Dunne. He played a street urchin who ends up meeting Queen Victoria. The film was chosen as the Royal Command Performance in 1950. Charles Smith Olden
Charles Smith Olden (February 19, 1799April 7, 1876) was an American merchant, banker, and politician who served as the 19th governor of New Jersey from 1860 to 1863 during the first part of the American Civil War. As Governor, Olden supported President Abraham Lincoln and the national war effort but favored union and reconciliation with the South above all else; before the war, he argued slavery was properly understood as the sole regulatory province of the states, and he later opposed Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation. His mansion, Drumthwacket, was bought by the state in 1966 and became the official residence of the governor of New Jersey in 1981. Sondre Olden (born August 29, 1992) is a Norwegian professional ice hockey player who is currently playing in the Swiss League. He previously played with Vålerenga of the Norwegian Eliteserien. He was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 3rd round (79th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. ''Olden'' is a compilation album by 16 Horsepower, released July 8, 2003. It would be the last record released by 16 Horsepower before their break-up. The album is divided into three sections, with each section separated by two short interviews with David Eugene Edwards, the band's vocalist and lead musician. The first seven tracks were recorded at the Night Owl Studio in Denver in 1993, and are referred to as the "Night Owl Studio sessions."
